Description

Hello,

We are playing with labels and we are facing some ergonomics issue, look at label-missing-emphasis-on-selected.png:

  • selected label is not enough emphasised compared to others, maybe a check mark ✓ (0x2713) cloud be added on the right
  • vertical scroll bar should be avoided

F #4760: Improve labels usability

- Labels are sorted alphabetically
- Label filter is kept when changing tabs
- Label filter can be cleared from the advanced section button "clear all"
- Fix active label style on refresh

One more thing: the labels should be sorted accordingly to user Table Order preference.

I agree

It doesn't look responsive ;-).

It doesn't look coherent with the rest of the web UI:

  • on very small screen, both horizontally and vertically, the menu is not displayed by default but expanding it does not result in a scroll bar in the menu, user always use the page scroll bar
  • on screen vertically small, the menu is displayed by default but expanding it does not result in a scroll bar in the menu, user always use the page scroll bar

I think user should only have the page scroll bar and not a scroll bar in the menu (or anywhere else).

Hello,

One more thing in user view, when I select a template, the label filter is reset:

  1. filter VM templates with labels
  2. click on one template to display its information
  3. click on the blue back button to get back to template list
  4. the label filtering does not apply any more

The same apply when changing resources:

  1. filter VM templates with labels
  2. click on Storage > Images
  3. the Templates > VM label hierarchy collapse

I think it should behave like the search filter and remains active per resource type.
