Description

Deferred snapshot do not complete and cannot be cancelled, new image stays in LOCKED state indefinitely.
- utilizing a qcow2 image a deferred snapshot will not complete
- I've tried both shutting down the image from within the OS as well as the Shutdown feature in sunstone
- I've tried with both windows VM's and Linux VM's
Workaround
- Take Live snapshot does work.

I've take a very quick look at your logs (VM 49) and I think it maybe a misunderstanding about the deferred snapshot. The actual copy is made when the VM is shutdown (from outside, if down from the guest it will go to POWEROFF). If you shutdown the VM from sunstone, either the VM should be ready to react to ACPI events, or use the shutdown hard option. Once the VM is in EPILOG state, the snapshot is being copied and the image will be moved to READY.

I'm closing this as worksforme, if the problem persists add new comments to this issue and We'll reopen it.
