Description
The new GlusterFS device driver for QEMU that bypasses FUSE, talking directly to GlusterFS via a new client library, libgfap.

    Just wanted to add some more details about this. In my own testing, KVM with file/qcow images on Gluster is pretty slow right now. This will speed things up significantly. Enough that perhaps when it's released it might be worthwhile to recommend as a default storage facility. More details about this are available here http://raobharata.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/qemu-glusterfs-native-integration/ and that includes some examples of getting it working with the 3.4 beta.
Further, I have experience with scaling out Gluster storage in very high load production so if there are any questions about getting stuff working, just let me know!
