If a disk fails to attach, due, for instance, to an incorrect DEV_PREFIX, the image cloned/linked by the TM will linger after the VM's life cycle. More importantly, the end-user has no way to clean it, and the administrator is not notified of the failure properly. This is the case of the LVM scenario.
